The Local Open
Your own tournament, against the locals.
Who it's for: Clubs, leagues and big groups of 8 to 24. Anyone who plays better with something on the line.
You've played each other a hundred times. Come and play Mallorca instead. We organise a tournament built around your group and fill it with local pairs at your level: a real draw, a real organiser, and a trophy that will live behind the bar at home.
Pick the format that suits you. An Americano for a fast, social half-day where everyone plays everyone. Round-robin groups into finals for a full day of proper matches. A knockout with a consolation draw if you want the drama. Mixed and same-sex categories, or one big draw.
What we arrange
Everything on the ground, one fee.
- Courts blocked for the day at a club that suits the group
- Local pairs recruited by level to fill the draw
- A tournament organiser, scoreboard and running order
- Balls, water and shade between matches
- Prizes for the winners and something for the rest
- A long lunch or an after-party, depending on the hour it finishes
- Hotel or finca, transfers and dinners for the rest of the weekend
Flights are yours to book (we'll tell you which ones to look at). Everything else on this list is arranged and paid for in one go.
A sample long weekend
How the days might look.
A starting point, not a timetable. Every group tweaks it.
Friday
Arrive, check in, evening warm-up session and a team dinner. Draw announced over dessert.
Saturday
Tournament day. First balls at ten, finals mid-afternoon, prizes at the bar. Then a rooftop in Palma to celebrate or commiserate.
Sunday
Recovery morning: boat day or beach club. Social matches at sunset for anyone who wants revenge.
Monday
Late breakfast, transfer to the airport, trophy in hand luggage.
How do you match levels?
Tell us honestly how your group plays (we'll ask a few questions) and we recruit local pairs to match. The aim is close matches, not a thrashing either way.
Can partners and non-players come?
Of course. We'll plan a day for them and they'll be back for the finals and the party.
What formats work best?
For 8 to 12 players an Americano is unbeatable. For 12 to 24, round-robin groups into finals gives everyone at least three proper matches.
