Best time of year for padel in Mallorca
Short answer: April to June, and September to October. Longer answer below, with the numbers.
Spring (March to May)
The island is green, the courts are quiet and the average daytime high climbs from 18°C in March to 24°C in May. This is three-sessions-a-day weather. The sea is cold until late May, so plan boat days and beach clubs for the afternoons and save the swimming for the pool.
Summer (June to August)
Hot: average highs of 29°C to 32°C and a sea at 21°C to 26°C. Padel moves to the mornings and the floodlit evenings, with the middle of the day for the water. It's the best time for boat days and Palma's rooftops, and the busiest for hotels, so book early.
Autumn (September to November)
September is our favourite month: still summer (28°C), a warm sea (24°C), and the August crowds gone. October stays warm (24°C) with an empty feel to the courts. November is a mild 19°C, which counts as a heatwave in Manchester.
Winter (December to February)
Mild, with highs around 15°C to 16°C and the odd wet week. Perfectly playable, often gloriously sunny, and the cheapest flights of the year. Not the season for boat days.
